MAINTAINING YOUR RELATIONSHIP

Unconditional love should be the basis of every boy/girl relationship i.e. not falling in love for the sake of money, beauty, fame or benefits, love comes to us when we least expect, so it should be unconditional. When a relationship is void of true love there tends to be disdain, lust, mistrust, lies and all whatnots. If you truly are in love, you have to be sincere,caring, nice, God fearing, considerate, happy, have something concrete to offer.

To have a healthy relationship, you must define what you are doing with each other; do you want it to lead to marriage, or it is just for togetherness or a friendship with benefits.

Here are some tips to help you maintain a good relationship:

§ Do not scare each other with family and financial issue.

§ Work towards making positive impacts in each other’s lives.

§ Correct each other’s mistakes politely.

§ Comport yourself when you are on a date.

§ Dress the way your partner likes it.

§ Take care of each other’s little needs (material and moral).

§ Do not mother each other too much too in order to instil self-reliance in each other.

§ Be content with whatever you have. Covetousness is not a good idea.

§ Do not talk boastfully about each other’s admirers.

§ Play games with each other.

§ Be affirmative in your decisions. Let yes be yes and no be no.

§ Take advise from each other because love sees things.

§ Do not get too close to each other’s friends so as to avoid unnecessary gossips.

§ Respect each other’s views.

§ Make your partner superior at every function you attend.

§ Recognise your partners most cherished moment, needs, desires and try hard to adhere and attend to them.
